About me
New gardener this year; started digging in the garden in January 2011 and found it so therapeutic and good for you, now I am hooked!! Very new garden though, I didn't have anything really in my borders except a couple of manky roses. I have a lot of perennials now, excited about dividing them in the spring! I love cottage gardens and traditional plants, not too keen at the fancy 'architectural' plants, except oriental poppies. Love geraniums, sedums, achilleas etc and fruit trees, vegetables dotted around the garden, as well as the traditional vegetable patch. Don't have a lot of money, so do my best to scrounge, buy half price, go to boot fairs and skip diving!! I also have a couple of baby comfrey plants, but at the moment I take the dog with a bag and gloves for nettle soup for the garden. Gardening has consumed my life, in a good way. I love everything about it, from digging to pricking out to seed sowing. I seem to feel happiest when my hands are full of good, clean earth.
