Front Garden and Hebe's

Thursday Time to start thinking of my front garden – I have a little patch but don’t spend too much time on it – I love my back garden where I can get totally lost in my own wee world, however don’t feel so comfortable in the front – anyhow time to move on – I inherited the garden from the my predecessors’ – The front garden is a big aul’ bunch of Hebe’s – I know I should love all my plants equally but …. I have grown to dislike Hebe’s (sorry). The red coloured bush I do love (don’t know name) I have in the last year planted a |Peris which is coming on nicely; a hydrangea from about 6inches and is doing well, lavender coming on however the rest is a mess. So here is the first photos let’s see how it progresses. I am getting me clippers out and going to go mad – sorry Hebe fans…….
Sunday – well the sun came out at last a decided to get busy – As i said before I’m more comfortable in the back garden, however it was a pleasant change got talking to some of my neighbours, but the best bit was Ben, my 5 year old met about 6 kids his age and is having a great old time playing in the garden. Anyway in between lolly pops for all and fetching the ball from next doors garden I got a bit done. I chopped away at some of the hebes however wasn’t as ruthless as I would have liked. (however there is always tomorrow)
and thanks spritz it is indeed a spirea goldflame

Have to admit i'm not a front garden person, i do keep it looking as if someone cares about it, but made it so it looks after itself really, most of the time i just need to water pots & hanging basket when i put 1 out in summer, but i do love my back garden, i'm in there as much as i can.

its already a nice garden angie, but we all like to add our own touch to it,, i dont have a front garden as such,,its all block paved apart from a small square that use to house a tree which is now dead and gone, so in the summer i have my pots and hanging baskets to make it look pretty, im also at home in my back garden where i have peace and quiet,, that bush is lovely goldflame,,

I loved my front garden when I lived in the old cottage. I used to chat to the people going along the way and give them cuttings. Sometimes they'd bring me things back.
