I live in Bristol, England.

My garden is a stunning, enclosed, south facing, compact cottage style garden with rich and versatile planting and is split on two levels. The garden is heavily planted with a kaleidoscope of herbaceous perennials, unusual shrubs such as Paulownia tomentosa, Clematis, tender exotic perennials, such as Echiums, Banksia ericifolia and Protea cynaroides, soft fruits, roses and a mature apple tree. Much of the planting has been nurtured from seed and inspiration has been drawn from foreign travel.

The front garden is planted in the style of a rose garden with yew hedging and over twenty varieties of roses, which have been chosen for their vibrant colours and perfumed aromas. The front garden also contains shrubs, namely Hydrangea aspera and Clerodendrum bungei, further varieties of tender perennials such as Solanum laciniatum and further types Echium such as wildpretii ,pininana and fastuosum.

I currently open my garden as part of the National Garden Scheme.
