I have enjoyed gardening for many years and consider myself a 'gardener'. At one time (before I had too many children!) I used to be familiar with most of the latin plant terms. I have gardened in many counties: Warwickshire, Surrey, Devon, Somerset and latterly Lincolnshire. This is the furthest north I have lived and suspect that the garden year is slightly later here. Although I have only been here for 18 months I have not experienced too many losses as a result of frosts. However, this last winter has been very severe and I suspect I have lost a few.
