After living in the hot, dry, clay and rock soil California foothills, I moved to the west coast of Washington, just a few miles below Canada. Had a wonderful time gardening there for 18 years, and made 6 gardens. Just this January I have moved to Spokane, which is waaaay colder and dryer and am having to learn a whole new set of rules and plants. Hoping to meet up with anyone in a similar climate on this site.
