I love to work in the yard; it's my mental therapy! I have a real challenge living on a lake with loads of shade which unfortunately has challenged me for success in plants and shrubs.

Along with my love of gardening, I thoroughly enjoy all the "critters" that come into my yard for food and attention. I have squirrels that come up to me and beg like a dog for peanuts; and lots of mallard ducks with their babies in the Spring. I love taking lots of pictures with my digital camera of all God's creatures and particularly enjoy the migrating season when we get so many different types of ducks that stop, feed, and rest for a day or two.

Living in this wooded area also brings deer right up to my backdoor; but unfortunately they have destroyed many of my beautiful plants; but, oh well, it's a "toss up"....pretty plants or cute critters! I enjoy them both.
