Pissed at my landord...

Neither my landlord nor his well meaning son care about what they run over or hit with the weed eater… My suspected potato plant, as of yesterday, gone. My Grandma’s ripened tomato plants, gone. Her $25 no kink hose, gone…..her cucumbers, as well… We were also told to no longer get anymore plants… I am normally against this form of measure, but I am seriously considering things like barb wire, razor wire, or even electric fence at this point… Any less expensive tips, anyone??

Do you have an agreement about use of the land?
Sounds as though you need something to clarify who can do what.

You and your landlord both have valid arguments, however you are on the losing end. My advice is to leave on your own cognisance.

If you like the rent and the surroundings you are paying for don't cut off your nose to spite your face as they say, stay. The answer to move is easy to say but is a very hard thing to do and costs much in time and stress. Why "uproot" yourself and cause yourself such turmoil? It is also important to be known as a desirable tenant in that the to be new landlord can contact your present one to see how things have been with your tenancy. If you like to garden, contact a local garden club and see if there is a little area near you that has gardening plot you can pay a small fee for where you can grow the things you want to without the hassle. Living in North Carolina should provide you ample opportunity to do that.

Or find an elderly disabled person who would be pleased for you to tend their garden and give them the pleasure of plant life, and a regular kindly visitor.
