hi fellow gardening lovers. my name is gareth and i live in derbyshire uk.
i am not particulary knowledgeable when it comes to horticulture, but just like keeping the garden looking the best i can. i just really learn by trial and error as far as shrubs and plants go.
a lot of the plants are not looking too good after our recent very heavy snow, that flattened everthing!!
last june 2010 i entered my garden into a local open garden day which raised money for charity. i had over 200 people visit my garden. i recommend anybody to do the same. it was a great day and very strange seeing groups of strangers just sitting in and enjoying your garden. i also received a gold award for back garden which was nice in a local competition.
