Help with raised bed planter!
Hi everyone!
On the weekend I bought a raised bed vegetable planter 1m x 1m and would like some advice on whether it is best to line it or not? I have read conflicting ideas online and am confused what to do??
Last year I grew some fruit and veg in containers with much success but this year I thought I would have a go at growing things in a vegetable planter. I intend to site it on the lawn in front of my shed. Any ideas would be great!! :)

HI
I'm sure you will get answers on this from far more experienced growers but if its any help I put a weed membrane down then topped up with home made compost, brought compost and left over grow bags.
Mine seem to be thriving and hardly any weeding ..bonus

Thanks for your advice TT and Carol, i will try using the weed membrane, i'm sure i have some leftover compost to help fill my bed. Hopefully i can get it assembled on the weekend as the weather next week is supposed to be a lot brighter! Will keep you posted on the progress. :)

Hi Beverley ..
You could take a look at GoYpedia Raised Vegetable Plots ..
scroll down to letter R in the alphabet at the base of the GoY page.
You could also click on W for Weed Suppressing Membranes..
I hope these ideas help .. and good luck :o)
