Breathtaking. How big is your garden Brian? It must be fantastic to be able to walk all round it.

Brian what can I say - what fantastic colour - top marks for the Hellebore seedling - that is an achievement - your peoney is way ahead of ours up here -ours is just showing - it is a really deep red double when it flowers - Jane

Jane I put the Peony on to show a member that I had sent one to a few weeks ago. This is one of my favorites a single yellow usually called Molly the witch because the proper name is almost unpronounceable.

Just looked at this again - the pale pink hellebore just makes a big grin appear...

Steragram
The single flowered seedling on the next picture is growing right next to it in the garden and may well be the pollen parent ,What I should do is cross them again and se if any semi doubles occur.
Will see if I can remember to do it !
Will send you some seed if you are prepared to wait four years for the flowers ?.

I do like your plants and the photos you have taken of them, particularly the pic of the daffs with the brown leaves/fronds? around them. Is this a mulch/protection?
of yew branchlets? Anyway the combination make an interesting combination.

Siris The fronds fall each winter from a Chinese conifer been there 30 years and afraid I have forgotten the name it is growing almost above the Daffs and the fronds are lethal to handle need gloves.
The name I think is something like Juniper Sinensis. I will take a picture someone might know .

Is not your last photo of Hacquetia epipactis? rather less common and more desirable than Eranthis. Hope you don't mind.
18 Mar, 2015
Siris yes you are right Senior moment me thinks, the only thing they have in common is they are both yellow
Well that's my excuse .
Kidsgran
sorry about that siris knows better than me what plants I grow

BJS, yes I'm prepared to wait for the flowers, just hope I live long enough!
By the way, I was worried to death that I'd lost the painted fern over the winter as there was no trace of it, but just noticed it beginning to emerge - great sigh of relief....

Oh Bjs, I am a sad old crow! I would indeed like to know ALL the plants in your garden, or at least see them on Gou, you have such an extensive selection. I have masses of senior moments, I often have to look at the name index on Gou cause I can't think of a plants name or spell it!
