Hi all, I am feeling very enthused about sharing my gardening antics with you all…something I have been wanting to do for a long while now as I have been gardening for many years since my babe was in nappies (now 13)….i have created small gardens in many parts of new zealand in my many rental properties…..in evee to create a garden and fed my passion for plants and watching them grow… I was pushed to creating this blog after I was inspired last night by a talk I went to at the local Mapua School PTA Gardening Evening by Lynda Hallinan ( the author of Back to the Land : A year of Country Gardening) she is witty and charming and made me realise my own wit and passion for both writing and gardening combined so thought id give it a shot…i look forward to meeting and chatting with you all and discovering your gardening stories feel free to post on my blog anytime …..all mad gardening enthusiasts welcome here :)) photos to come !

Hi BB, I only joined the other day too, and like you have a sense of wit and I too like writing. These people here have been so helpful to a novice like me with a problem I have over the erecting of a solid 6 - 7 foot fence running the whole length of my 150 foot x 15 foot garden, and now I have been given many helpful tips by the wonderful people here in GoY and have pointed me in directions I never had a clue about! I too look forward to seeing your Blog develop and seeing photos of your garden oh and by the way welcome to the fraternity! Michelle x :^)
