Happy New Year

Hi, a Happy New Year to you all. I got back from holiday to find more plants and lights on the waterfall and before I got round to taking a photo the snow came down. The pond is now frozen over. A worrying development is that when the fountain is running the pond empties (when it’s not frozen of course!) There’s no sign of water but it must be going somewhere. Too cold at the moment to investigate. Hopefully the plants will survive this wintery weather. Photos of the waterfall snowed up attached.

Welcome back from me too ... your photos are lovely and I'm hoping like Drc that the problem is easily fixed.

Hi buttybabe, we've had a problem like this for the last year or so with our pond & not fountain, but stream. Our water disapears & we don't know where to. My husband is constantly investigating it. Thought he'd fixed it last year, was running fine for a couple of days, then, gone. Good luck with yours.

Thanks for your comments. The actual pond is fine when the fountain is turned off so it must be somewhere at the back of the waterfall but underneath there is concrete so you would expect to see the water running out. I was worried it might be going into the soil in the base. I have visions of the liner in the base splitting and the wood bursting! Oh dear... whose idea was this in the first place?????

I do hope you can get it sorted out - very difficult with the current weather, though. Good luck - let us know how things go.

Welcome back has something fallen in and made a hole in the liner? Or perhaps a pipe has come apart? Hope you find your leak is simple to fix.
