Hey there! I;m the big 50! I love gardening! I love re-arranging flowers every year and making it look totally different I have perrenial roses and low covering bushes year after year in the front yard and accent them with annuals with a diferent color scheme. People stop and look at the garden every year It's a nice feeling. I've added birdhouses and feeders and the activity in such a small neighborhood is so inviting.
I was iinspired by a woman who lived to be 105 and was convinced that this kept her going. She worked in that garden night and day and always looked happy and busy. I remember as a child saying to myself...I'm going to be just like her. I love creating something from nothing then saying wow!. No one bothers me in my garden..my family looks on as if to say oh my look at that!. It's a wonderful feeling. I'm embarking on a new project.my own homemade greenhouse and a backyard cottage gardenn. For a split level ranch that has these enormous houses built around us...I feel I stand out thatn the rest :) You can tell they don't put creativity in their gardening...as in their homes their plants are all cookie cutter gardens. Some neighbors will look on at me gardening trying to get a sense of how I do the things that I do. I see the picture , they see work. That's the difference. A garden to me is a process and journey just like life.
