I picked out a good spot in amongst the tree ferns right outside our bedroom window for this lovely plant
My Partner Greg was looking at the label in a puzzled way and asked me if was absolutely sure I wanted it there …
I had another look a the label and the little lady on it!!
This magnificent and GIGANTIC thing is now growing HUGE in the top corner of the back garden – it really is this big!!

I love your comments on 'the right place' and 'a suitable garden' hahahaha - well I'm not sure it is the right place or that my garden is big enough but it is certainly a talking point! I have several varieties including a black one and a pale yellow green one - but none get anywhere near the size of this one
in fact screeeeeeeeeeeeeam could well be right next summer Carolinaisl - it is a glorious thing and we are watching it with great interest
(as are the neighbours!)

nope not beans - I wish!! one of the best thing about it is the shade it's going to provide next summer for the ferns growing underneath it - just think of all the extra sun shy things I'll be able to plant!! Tell you what thought - I'm REALLY glad it only has one stem!! ... at least I think ... oh my =\

My goodness - that would take up most of my garden by the look of it - it is a very dramatic addition to a suitable garden though.
