100 acres of land. Sandy to sandy/loam soil. Forest in back fields, where we get our own firewood. Interested in getting some permaculture crops settled in the back fields, with Jerusalem Artichokes, Wild Leek and Wild Garlic. Several island flower beds in front lawn, with mostly perennials like Iris, Lilium. A 12 ft x 24 ft homemade greenhouse where we plant beans, peas and tomatoes. Trialing some heirloom pole beans and peas this year (2009). Also growing out some bean seeds for a Canadian heirloom seed bank project.
