At how many plants are still blooming away.

Fuchia Lady Thumb, lovely mulching.

Lavatera x Clementii with Fushia Lady Boothby behind, the Fuchia is over 6 foot tall now

Fox and Cubs, I got 3 plug plants from a car boot, they are all nearly 2ft wide now and all in flower.

It is good to see so many still hanging on in our gardens, I guess we are going to get up one morning and find them zapped, very windy here again but although its a dull grey day its warm with it.
I have the fox and cubs it jumped into my pocket one day when walking by a stone wall a few years back...

It almost jumped into my pocket, although I did pay £1 for the 3 plugs.

Bamboo, why can you not get it to grow in London? is it to do with air quality?

More likely the soil - that particular plant isn't great on clay, and that's what we've got here. Tends to grow in sandier, lighter places naturally.

I have heavy clay and Fox and cubs loves it!

Oh stop it Tuesdaybear - in that case, I have no idea why it won't grow here!

Sorry, Bamboo! You could try a raised bed, maybe.

Nowhere to put one. Anyway, I know when I'm beaten - and my planting area is crammed to the gunnels already anyway...
