Cooley's Profile

I have loved gardening all my life. I was born in England, in a town close to London and gardened from a little child. It's more fun for kids in England as you find small pieces of past cultures--Romans, Bronze age or Stone age.
I did my B.Sc. in Biological sciences and my PHD in ( the study of fossil lakes-- I did the latter in the Botany department in the University of North Wales,Bangor. This gave me tons of opportunity discuss gardening and plants. As a result I have lots of tips for people in the area. The current tip is " plant bulbs with each with a small piece of garlic which will stop creatures from digging up your bulbs.
