Another step in bringing my vision to reality…

I have added three new Dwarf Pines. The first is Pinus sylvestris Watereri of which I had a mature specimen in my garden in Scotland. Broke my heart having to leave that beautiful tree! I’d been nurturing it for 17 years! The second is my beloved Pinus parviflora ‘Bonnie Bergman’ with its soft and swishy blue needles and pine cones. It grows a bit faster than the Watereri. The third is Pinus parviflora ‘Negishi’, another little blue pine. They will keep me happy through the winter months and definitely contribute to the Mediterranean feel of the back garden. All in pots for the next few years at least.

I found these pines on an EBay nursery called Oaktree nurseries. Delivery was prompt and they have lots of plants at good prices. Well worth a look. I also bought 3 Hardy geranium Pratense plenum violaceum. They are small, but very well rooted and ready to grow away fast.

Thanks SBG. It’s lovely to have a bit of height in the pots.
