This morning I set to and planted 40 plants in the new border, I have also placed more to go in later.
Daffodil bulbs will go in late next month or early Otober when I do the containers for the front.
OH will put in some stepping stones so I do not have to stand on the soil.
We know there were garages on the site before the houses were built, I think they must have broken up the concrete bases and then put top soil onto them the number of bits of concrete I have dug up. The soil is heavy clay, we need some farmyard manure. Its as well I did the job today, had it been dry it would have been impossible to dig the holes out for the plants.

You have a great mix of different colours and shapes of foliage there. Time to sit down for a little rest now!
