More Plants

OH had an appointment with the dentist this morning, I went in with him to go to the market. I came home with more plants.

Our local post office also had some plants outside so two of them also came home. I need to put up the little growing house, the snails decimated my lupins and delphiniums, I have replaced them, so need to try and protect them from the slugs.

We are going to Grantham on Thursday Aldi are getting in fruit bushes at £1.79. So Raspberries, blackcurrants and an Oregon thornless blackberry will find their way back to our house.

This morning we called at the local stables to see if we could get manure. The chap told OH he can take the lot with pleasure. So we will be taking bags round and collecting some. We will use some on the onion/garlic bed, and spread it over the rhubarb crowns, some will be dug in and we will also put some in a bucket with water to make some foliar feed. I guess a pile of it will also be stuck in a corner at the top of the garden to mature for digging in next year.

It is my birthday next week DD2 tells me she is going to give me cash, so as we are going for afternoon tea at a local garden centre as my birthday treat, I guess a few plants will be coming back with me.
