We are still working on both front and back gardens, I put 6 more plants in the back, 6 is the most I can manage just now. The soil in the shady bed is thick clay and very heavy, I had enough after 6 plants. Still in recovery from my op although its 9 weeks ago now.
The shady border
The garden when we moved in.
The front garden is also undergoing a make over. One side of the grass has been done and lavender planted down the path side, the other side has still to be done. I need to get the plants in both front and back so they stand a chance through the winter. I also need to get the clematis in before they start to go back.
We will be going over to the nursery at Enderby in the next few weeks for bulbs and roses, two more roses for the front and a climbing rose for the back.

Your hubby has worked hard and its coming along very well, looks so much bigger now doesn't it, pleased you are taking it slowly Csarina but isn't it good to get out there and do some planting, does that make you the foreman now though, I watch my hubby like a hawk when he's cutting our grass and woe betide him if his feet land on my borders, I know he bought himself a new mower but I'm sure he'll be willing to give the job back to me next year, lol....

I love before and after pictures - you've made an impressive start. Nine weeks is still early days though - try to be patient!
