Start of new project( greenhouse )

Last Friday I started to build my new greenhouse that I got from B&Q. It went up no problem it was just like the mecano set that I had when I was a kid. I picked the right day for this as it was nice and sunny. By the end of day and a few beers later i went to bed with a big smile on my face, little did i know what i had in store for me.
Saturday morning I got up looking forward to glazing my new greenhouse and getting all my plants transferred over from old greenhouse, as i had someone picking it up that day( ebay is a great thing) . Not long after starting to glaze this I found out that my glass panels did not fit. After a few huffs and puffs I realised that i would have to re-think what to do as I had built the greenhouse off the square I was advised to take it apart again and build the base first. Went to bed that night not a happy bunny. Wife had a fit when she came back and i had all my plants in the kitchen.
Tuesday – very wet today (just love the weather in Glasgow). Off work so built my base with bits of wood that my brother gave me (family are a wonderful when you get it for nothing) . Went and got my decking so to have a nice floor that my new greenhouse can sit on. All my seeds and plants are still in kitchen. This is ideal as it is good for germinating my seeds . That is me now until Sunday. Looking forward to getting my greenhouse fixed in place and geting the kitchen back .

I could be a wise-guy, Daftplanter, and ask why you didn't spend a little more and buy the base for the greenhouse? I laid our base first and then my wife and myself put the greenhouse up very easily. Arn't I just a smart arse!
Congratulations on resolving your problem and hope that you get decent weather this weekend to finish the job.

I did buy a base with a extra cost of £70 quid but i was advised by brother to build another .. sometimes you are just better off doing things the way you had planned...not too worry at leased this will give me more head room. :)

Oh dear daftplanter. Why do these so called "easy" projects always turn into something to tear your hair out over? It is looking good so far. I hope you manage to get it altogether on Sunday. :o)
