Had been told about the Laburnum Walk at Bodnant Gardens so decided a visit was in order but as you can see I’m about a week too early. The Rhododendrons however were magnificent. I was very good and bought just 1 plant a Primula pulverulenta a lovely red candelabra with a white stem which will go very well by my little pond. The gardens are not for the faint hearted as there are some quite steep walks as you can see from one of the photo’s but taking my time on the way back up from the river in the depths of the valley I came across sme lovely specimens, have got a bit frustrated at uploading them though it takes such a long time…..is there a way of uploading a number at a time ?
Let sleeping dogs lie….my husband didnt know were I was coming from here.

Its a few years since I was last there but seeing your photo`s has brought it to mind, one of my favourite gardens, absolutely gorgeous and I wish it was nearer, the sort of place one could never tire of visiting.......

Nice to see some photos of the place. We went on a holiday to North Wales a few years ago, but the day we were going to visit Bodnant we had a violent thunder storm and the place had been closed due to flooding lol so I never saw it.

Is Bodnant near to LLandudno-- we're going there in July, The Rhodo's look lovely, I was lucky enough to go to Heligan a few years ago and saw wonders there....
