I made a new border infront of our decking last May bank holiday.. And this year I’ve been given some more logs which are currently in treatmeant in the garage so thatthey don’t rot in the ground.. So I’ve decided to extend that border to across the front of the children’s playhouse..
Obviously not yet finished but by the weekend it will be.. I’ve next got to go and look at some plants, another acer or two and some other bushy bits will do :) I’ll do another blog for the progress of this :)

There's only my five year old cousin (we have her before and after school) she's not bothered about bees and bugs. I've seen some nice lavenders, probably an agapanthus and an acer to tie it in with the rest. It all depends what I see when I get to the little nursery :) I've a wisteria to grow up the front of the playhouse and along its side and apex too :) and I'm thinking of a clematis too :)

Dan are you sure there is room for all that? You will have a jungle!

Probably won't be all that! But their the kinda things I already have and I like to repeat things :) but I like to keep the borders full :)

That looks really pretty, Dan. I like the playhouse very much - isn't it lovely?

It used to be orange but I had to change the colour. Next door has theirs blue and white which is what my parents wanted, but as I picked the paint up I chose these two..

Its a pretty colour anyway -I hope your parents like it.
Probably blends with the garden more than blue would have anyway?

Yes! The decking was originally dark blue too! When it's decent weather and the rabbit can go in her run for the day I'll paint the exterior of her house the same colour, and the benches and the kennel so that everything matches :)

More beds....more plants, sounds good to me!

Yes! Less grass is my forward thinking!!

It does look very atractive Dan, not holding out for much in the way of gardening for the next week or so, I swear it feels as though we are going backwards...

I did go out today and plant the wisteria earlier between hail showers. But that's all I've done :)

I have an important question Dan - where do you get all your energy???

Haha steradian! I've no idea!! I've just put the log edging around the border perimeter. Filled with topsoil and dug it in. Just came in and made a gluten free chicken and leek pie and now doing the veg! I'll need an afternoon nap today! Luckily I work from home for my job so I can get lots done!

you are being a busy bee. that will look nice when planted up. what are you thinking of growing? lavenders would be nice and encourage bees but would they worry the children?
