I started gardening about 20 years ago. I started out with roses and long season flowering perennials. Over the last ten years, Japanese maples, dwarf, miniature and unusual conifer cultivars have been my passion. Within the last few years I've become interested in Hostas for my shady areas and a couple of years ago I started hybridizing them. I grow the hosta seeds indoors, in the winter to keep my gardening passion going. My yard is fairly small 91' x 131' or just over 1/4 acre but I enjoy the challenge of using many plants in a small space.
