melbourne fires

Very frightening. We get fires on these hills in spring but nothing like that.

Goodness, Dave! I haven't seen this in our news at all - I hope they can get the fires under control ASAP - and that your brother and his home are safe.

oh my goodness that awful those poor people,animals and plants. such a shame, is that what was on the news recently about it being started purposely or are these newer ones?

this is a pic of those fires.
the old mining towns suffered badly, the more modern villiages fared better, because they were not made of wood.

Frightening yes but what a great pic.

Fantastic photo but of an awful subject. Very frightening...It reminds me of looking down the Okanagan Valley in 2003 which was an extremely bad fire year. The sky was a glowing orange for weeks. Even more frightening when the ash is falling on you all the time.

It doesn,t bear thinking about I,m sitting looking at all my greenery and your pic.makes me sad, helpless and relieved at same time !!!!!!!!!!!!!. What else can one say...
