My grateful thanks to Bulbaholic and Moongrow, also the gentleman who published photos of his Alpine House earlier in the year.
They have introduced me to the Alpine Garden Society.
The joining pack has now arrived. I am thrilled to find this new (to me) branch of Horticulture, although I did visit the Alpine House at Kew some years ago and was fascinated by these tiny plants. Thought I had to have the blowers installed, and did no more about it.
re- certain varieties of large White Potatoes that keep well, but go black this time of year. I am prolonging their kitchen life now, by peeling and large dicing two each a.m. cooking in the Microwave. Allowing to cool,
drain, then frying in Olive Oil and a knob of butter, in a large non-stick pan, sprinkled with old herbs from those not used in the winter. When cold I tray freeze them, and bag up for future use.
