- it just happens by chance, then I laugh.
Like everyone else, I spent time all spring looking after
plants for my balcony half baskets. Planting up Royal Purple Surfinias on the middle one , and Crimson Geraniums in the baskets either side.
The object was to have the Royal Colours for H.M.
Diamond Jubilee. They didnt flower at that time, with all the cold weather and rain we had.
This last fortnight they are happily blooming, making a lovely display of the Olympic Colours !
Ha ha.

I know this one, Diane, but for a different reason - I bought a teeshirt for a jubilee event which is red white and blue (not the union jack, just in those colours). The only place I ended up wearing it at the time was to visit the emergency dentist, but I've worn it since, and now everyone thinks it an Olympics teeshirt, lol

I was very disappointed that my red/white/blue themed tubs weren`t in flower for the jubilee Diane but I`d also planted wall baskets with pansies all the colours of the Queens coronation robes and they were gorgeous at the time so in the end I had colours for both events, it all worked out fine in the end, lol....
