the kitchen, wiped out the drawer and put my odd balls of knitting wool back in.
Must remember to grow more Tomato plants outside next year, as this is a good method of dealing with them.
Its important to cut them off with a length of stem, as this preserves their moisture input so they dont shrivel up.

On last nights Monty edition, he was putting the late Tomatoes into a trug. Even though they were ripe, I was pleased to see he had cut all the others off with bits of stem attached.
Might have been more helpful to the British Nation if he had mentioned the green ones will ripen in a drawer !

I cleared all the toms out of the greenhouse yesterday as they looked over. I have a big bowl of red ones and another of semi ripe ones. no green ones thankfully.
cucumber has stopped too. but the peppers and chillis are still producing flowers and fruits.
