My Garden

I love gardening and spend hours pottering, well it seems like hours, when I
get tired, usually around lunch time, that,s it……mind willing etc.
Anyone live near woods or is surrounded by trees. I have created, or rather
inherited, (lived here 2 years) and now maintain several pretty borders and a couple of rockeries which should be easy to care for but because we are virtually surrounded by very large old trees, with a coppice to one side, we get lots of different types of debris from these. This year seems they are
sending down different types from last. It’s so wonderful when you actually
get nice and tidy, then blink!! and down comes some more. I try so hard to ignore it sometimes just so I can tend the borders but eventually it gets to me and I spend, it seems like hours just sweeping, sweeping and sweeping.
Of course we get many different types of birds too, which add to the debris, also squirrels.
When we viewed the property nothing was said about difficulties. Trees to me (silly me) meant just leaves in the autumn. Would it have changed my mind, no, it’s such a pretty garden, well planned and laid out and I enjoy being out there. However, I do feel better for getting that off my chest.
This has been my first blog ever, anywhere, I feel I’ve started the day with an acheivment. Well, can,t linger here forever “Blogging” the garden is
calling me, spraying before the broom becomes active today I think.

Your garden is lovely. Pitty about the debris from the trees, but if it wasn't that it would be something else - everywhere has it's 'fors' and 'againsts' lol
Congratulations on your first blog. The first of many I hope .

Yes your garden looks lovely. As Hywel said, if it wasn't tree debris it would be something else. We gardeners just don't get an easy clear run. Anyway you have made it lovely. Great blog too. Welcome.
