Having been a keen gardener in the UK for many years it is like learning afresh trying to get a garden to thrive on the west coast of Portugal, it appears that everything we plant takes at least one year to settle in, the reason maybe the wind or maybe the sandy soil we are struggling to know what to do next, especially as we are not here constantly.
