About me
I’ve always been interested in gardening, but never really seriously, that is until I had my own garden about 7 years ago. My garden is southeast facing, so gets the sun most of the day. The soil is mainly clay with a generous amount of bricks thrown in thanks to the builders. The garden is quite long for a modern build. It was a complete blank canvas when I moved in. I like to keep things simple and low maintenence, but I do like colour.
I have recently started to grow some veg in pots and planters; this is my 2nd year of doing this. Last year I started with lettuce and radish, from a garden centre, this year I’m starting from seed and going for cucumber, lettuce, radish, tomato and sweet red pepper. The tomato and pepper are from seeds I have taken out of the fruit myself, not sure if they will bare fruit themselves but that’s all part of it. We’ll see what happens.
