Dwarf Winged Euonymus
Genus: Euonymus.
Species: Euonymus 'Compactus'.
The burning bush is a dense, deciduous shrub with winged stems much valued for its spectacular autumn display; small purple and red fruits split to reveal orange seeds as the oval, deep green foliage turns to scarlet. The flowers are much less significant. Grow in well-drained, fertile soil. Tolerates light shade, but fruiting and autumn color are best in full sun.
