Hello All,
Over the years, I have lived in the USA from the east coast to the west coast and several places in between but the only place I have ever gardened is here in southern Arizona. I started with containers because it was easier than trying to cultivate the Caliche (hardpan that takes a jackhammer to break up) filled ground in my area at the time. Now, however, I am blessed with almost an acre of fertile, well drained soil, that I take pleasure in working. Though 90% of my joy comes from gardening, I also enjoy reading, cooking and sewing and I'm a die hard Star Trek fan. Though I like all plants, my very favorite is the Dahlia. I found this site by a happy accident but every moment I have been here, I have really enjoyed. It's wonderful to see all the different pictures of gardens, plants and projects from all over the world. There is such a positive energy for gardening here. I love being a part of it!!
