Genus: Heliotropium.
Species: Heliotropium arborescens.
Peruvean native, can be grown as a shrub. Indoors it can easily get infested with bugs and is tender to treatments. Keep a close eye. Flowers for a very long period, but should be cut back just after a winter rest to keep compact. Soft vanilla scent that is a great draw for bee's, butterflies and hummers. I keep it up high so the scent can be enjoyed without bending. I take a sniff every time I'm near. One of my favorite flower scents. Needs good light indoors to thrive. Frost tender.
