Rudbeckia 'cherokee sunset'
Genus: Rudbeckia.
Species: Rudbeckia hirta.
This variety showed single and double bloom forms ranging from yellow streaked with orange to a rusty orange. A great purchase in a small garden to keep variety, I bought mine in sixpack and resulted in many different flowers. About 2 ft tall but not demanding in width. Ideal placed at back of borders or center of raised beds. Blooms followed placement of plug plants about 60 days later though that was a cold season. Good midsummer and fall color. I used as an annual but wait to see what sprouts from beneath a straw mulch after winter.
