Rudbeckias removed from garden

Indain summer and Cherokee sunset, really making a wonderful arrangement for enjoyment in the house. Hard frost this morning, about half the patch survived, i left out those with a droop.

We have it different enough its not even similar to my memories. Once it starts getting dark again its time to prepare for cold. My biggesty adjustment is staying awake after the sun sets at 3 o'clock. :-)

They look beautiful together. Hard to think of frosts quite that early, I guess you adapt to that mindset after a few years. I came here in 1982 and am still having trouble adjusting to the length of winter here.
