Species: Heuchera sanguinea.
a real favourite, from my mum's garden originally planted 1930's. with smaller leaves than its modern counterpart. I am trying to increase my stocks of this. win some lose some though.
I have 'palace purple' and whilst it looks good i still prefer 'coral bells' also known as bridgets bloom apparently.
Planted one from the Dales series. The yong foilage is greeny/grey and ages to darke plum/grey. Both foliage forms present in the spring. flower is very disappointing. browny green , no petals nor scent.
