Dutchman's Pipe
Genus: Aristolochia.
Species: Aristolochia macrophylla.
Bought from Chester Zoo as a seed starter pack for tropical plants.
Planted about two weeks after Christmas 2008 in soil provided in the starter pack, out of 10-20 seeds, only this little baby grew.
Kept in a windowsil propogator and watered on a regular basis avoiding drying out, if leaves seem to ppear to wilt, water more frequently, loves to be misted.
Its now two main leaves, three mini leaves and a tiny baby leaf coming through. Re-potted several weeks ago into two year old pure leaf mulch, seems to be thriving but more advice would be very much welcome.
