Genus: Stenocarpus.
Species: Stenocarpus sinuatus.
Again bought from Chester Zoo as a seed starter pack, planted Christmas 2008 in soil provided and grown on a windowsil propogator in re-potted soil which is now two year old leaf mulch.
She's got two main leaves which seemed to come from the seed pod, and now a new little leaf and possibly another soon. Mist and watering regularly seem to help this plant.
I did have two others in the same pot that seemed to start growing however did not last long.
To propogate from seed soak the seed in tepid water overnight and plant with the spike end up and slightly raised from the soil. Keep warm and humid.
