Helleborus "Sun Marble"
Genus: Helleborus.
Species: Helleborus "Sun Marble".
Purchased 5-04-04 from Cory's Wildflowers for $15.00. I was told that this is a rather finicky Helleborus and it needed a special place in the garden with just enough dappled light and on a slope. So far I think it likes where I planted it, if only the deer would let it alone ! Deer are not supposed to like Helleborus, but mine do ! I have to keep it covered with netting all the time, or they'll eat every leaf.
When not in bloom the marbled leaves are beautiful.
