Drc726's Garden

Indigofera tinctoria true Indigo

Species: Leguminosae.

Every year I am convinced these two trees are dead then in late May/June the leaves come followed by cascades of deep pink flowers which last about 8 weeks (Just as the Laburnham is finishing flowering) Very fragile to begin with as the branches grow to quick and brake off but eventually they become lovely tall hardy trees which like it dry. Also the bark is pleasing and the leaves never get too shady.
