Species: Solanum jasminoides.
Planted as a small shrub, which rapidly grew in all directions! In the end I cut off the lower growth and turned it into a mini standard. At least it gave the plants underneath half a chance.
Currently I am experimenting with 3 whippy stems to train a small standard plant with a plaited stem (long job I think)
