Genus: Acer.
Species: Acer palmatum.
We bought this little one in July 08 after some careful thought. We have cared for her through one winter and found that the new leaves were brilliant. They then got burnt in the heat wave in July 09 and never recovered. I hope next spring will bring better luck!
