Banana - turned out to be 'musa basjoo'

Species: Musa basjoo.
1) 29 June 2010. Mme Peyronnet Marine, 24335 Port Ste Foy. 3 x @2.50 euros
-> 1 died in Feb/March 2011 in the conservatory
2011? Planted by the garage/irises
- > Grew soooo huge!!!
2013 Grew so tall I could see the leaves from balcon
2) 30 May 2012. - ditto - 2 x @10 euros in bigger pots than the ones we bought in 2010. 1 pot had 2 plants.
* 1 planted by the piscine
* 2 planted in the rockery
-> 2013
* 1 planted by the potting shed/lavenders/artichoke
but died
* 2 planted in the rockery by grass/hibiscus/stone
didn't grow at all; at least they didn't die!
