Russian Olive
Species: Eleagnus augustifolia.
Lovely silvery foliage, bought from Hultinks, May 24th/2011. gallon pot, $17.99, an old favourite from my other garden, it is still quite small. Since it's a very hardy plant I'm not worried about losing it as it's hardy to zone 2. Will dig a good hole and help it to establish with lots of water. It likes full sun. Will produce sweet smelling light yellow flowers next spring, I hope. Don't have a picture of it in the ground but it's the plant in the lower right of this pic.
