Felinfan's Garden
Clematis "Avalanche"
This one is evergreen and bears a profusion of open, flat, white flowers with green centres in early to mid-spring. Lost one last year as it had not been in the ground long enough to survive the exceptional conditions.
The leaves are pretty too, a bit like hawthorne only larger, glossy and fleshy.
Have just planted it in a position so that when it has run out of conventional support it can climb over the chalet roof.
Made a mistake in thinking its growth would be more modest, but gives me an excuse to buy Clematis Michiko
which only achieves a modest 1.5m.
Will put that one on here when I get it.
