Heptacodium miconioides
Species: Heptacodium miconioides.
Fast-grower, up to 3' a year. Exfoliating tan bark, fragrant white flowers in September that turn red after flowering. Easy to grow, good substitute for crepe myrtle in cold areas. Flowers about the same time as crepe myrtle.
