Magnolia Standard
Standard Magnolia -The large cup shaped blooms open in spring and put on a great show.
Flowers: April/May
Height: 150cm (60"). Spread: 90cm (36")
Sun: A sunny or semi shaded position that is protected from cold winds and hard spring frosts.
Pot Soil: Can plant Magnolia standards in patio containers in soil based compost such as John Innes No. 3.
Soil:Prefer a moist, well drained acid to neutral soil that is high in organic matter. If you don't have acid soil, incorporate plenty of ericaceous compost into your border prior to planting.
Planting: Plant Magnolias at the same depth as they were previously planted. Backfill the planting hole and water well to settle the soil.
