Simbad's Garden
Astilboides Tabularis
Spotted this at Harlow Carr plant fair, never heard of it before, one of those huge perennials I love :-), relative of the astilbe but with rounded lobed leaves to 100cm across, vigorous to 1.5m in height, dense panicles of small cream flowers on erect stems held above the foliage in early summer, good bog plant or for moist well drained soil in the border in part shade, £3.50.
Moved into wood autumn 2015 halfway down steps on the left.
